Bob Marley, (Tuff Gong) conventionalized a distinct songwriting style and vocal sound that resonates world wide, known as roots reggae. Gregory Isaacs (Cool Ruler or Lonely Lover) brought forth lovers rock, swooning the masses with verses of love and heartache. Dennis Brownʼs (The Crown Prince of Reggae) vocal talent enabled him to effortlessly transition from lovers rock to dancehall, and also to digital.
